Slipped disk? This doctor makes house calls

In September of 2009 Cyber Knight Computers celebrated a Grand Opening at 433 Raritan Avenue. The move followed 11 years at his Easton Avenue location in New Brunswick, but owner Mike Beberman says the borough has already been very receptive.

Cyber Knight Computers specializes in custom PCs, which are built in store. Beberman takes pride in a business built on better customer service. Before building any computer, he and his staff talk with potential customers to find out what they plan on using their computer for, and the entire staff has the technical expertise to help build and maintain these machines.

Beberman points out this makes them better to bring questions to, rather than the uninformed salesmen of large chains. They're able to build computers based on the customer's needs, taking into account the budget and intended uses, from general homework and home research, to sound editing, visual arts, and high end gaming.

Cyber Knight also repairs PCs, and typically offer faster repairs because everything he builds is on a three year warranty, with overnight parts replacement. Cyber Knight does PC repairs on most models, and are awaiting their certification as an authorized Apple repair location.

The Cyber Knight moved to Highland Park because customers from the borough had grown to be 30% of their total business, which serves students, residents, Highland Park and Somerset. Beberman said that the lack of parking along Easton Avenue was also a factor, especially with Gateway Project construction beginning down the street from Cyber Knight's old location.
